The Mazda B platform is an automobile platform for compact cars. It has been used by a number of vehicles from Mazda and Ford Motor Company in Japanmarker and abroad.

BD

This is the first showing of Mazda's SS (self-stabilizing) rear suspension. The two lower parallel links of the rear strut are designed to induce toe-in on the rear tire on the outer side of the curve (eg. right turn - left rear tire).

BF

The SS suspension was updated.



BG

The Mazda BG was shared with Ford, which called it CT120.

BW

BW is a station wagon version of the BF platform.



BJ

The BJ platform was updated with a lower moment of roll for improved steering, better chassis rigidity, and new engines and transmissions.

The BK platform was jointly engineered by Mazda, Volvo and Ford. Ford calls this chassis the C1.

The next-generation B platform (Ford global B-car program) from Mazda is named B2E by Ford. The Ford models will be assembled in the newly-expanded Ford plant in Cuautitlan, Mexico, among others.
