Michael Munn is an author and film critic, and was born in Londonmarker in 1952. He commenced his working career by becoming a messenger boy for Cinerama. After promotion he went to work for EMI and then ran a department for Columbia-Warner Bros.. In 1974 he began his film career with Film Review, and has since written many critical accounts of films. He is a founding member of the Quayhole Theatre Company (UKmarker), a theatre-in-education group.

Controversy

Following the publishing of David Niven: The Man Behind The Balloon, the accuracy of Munn's testimony was disputed by Private Eyemarker magazine, which noted "the story of a deathbed confession seems rather unlikely, given that David Niven suffered from motor neurone disease in his final years".
