Milton Ernest is a village and civil parish in the Bedfordmarker district of Bedfordshire, Englandmarker, and is about five miles north of Bedfordmarker itself. The village is situated on the east bank of the River Great Ousemarker, and is the site of Milton Ernest Hall, which was used as the US 8th air force's support command headquarters in the Second World War. Milton Ernest's Church (All Saints) was built between the 12th and 15th centuries[196908].

Milton Ernest has a small (60-65 pupils) but very successful village school, closely linked to the church.[196909]

The middle school within catchment of Milton Ernest is Lincroft middle school, in the village of Oakley, around three miles away from Milton Ernest. The upper school within catchment is Sharnbrook Upper School and community college, in the village of Sharnbrook, also around three miles away.

Glenn Miller took off from RAF Twinwood Farmmarker nr Milton Earnest on his last (ill fated) flight, and was last seen in public in the Queens Head in the village before he disappeared.
