Miss Liberty is a Broadwaymarker musical with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, and book by Robert E. Sherwood, originally directed by Moss Hart (and produced by the three of them). It opened July 15, 1949 at the Imperial Theatremarker and ran for 308 performances.

The original cast starred Eddie Albert, Allyn McLerie, and Mary McCarty.

The musical is based around the sculpting of the Statue of Libertymarker in 1886. Albert played an American newspaper photographer who falls in love with a beautiful French girl who supposedly modeled for the statue (McLerie) and neglects the American girl who is in love with him (McCarty). Sherwood, the author, had been deeply moved during World War II when he saw what the Statue of Liberty meant to American GI's who were being shipped overseas, and promised to write a story about this symbol of freedom.

The show included the song "Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor," a musical setting of the poem "The New Colossus," by Emma Lazarus.
