Trivia
- 1989 is the year in which there were two Parades of
Nations. In the first Parade of Nations, contestants in
national costumes introduced themselves in the continental order of
their countries for the first time, as opposed to the alphabetical
order previously. However, they only shouted out their countries
without mentioning their names. In the second Parade of Nations,
which was a swimsuit video, viewers got to know each delegate's
name as well as her plans for the future.
- The winner, Angela Visser,
represented her country in the Miss
World 1988 contest. However, she didn't have a good
participation.
