Constitutional Amendment 2 of 2004 is a defense of marriage amendment that amended the Missouri Constitution by adding a definition of marriage that prevents same-sex marriages from being conducted or recognized in Missourimarker. The Amendment passed via public referendum on August 3, 2004 with 71% of voters supporting and 29% opposing.

The text of the adopted amendment, which is found at Article I, section 33 of the Missouri Constitution, states:
That to be valid and recognized in this state, a marriage shall exist only between a man and a woman.
