Neath North is an electoral ward of Neath Port Talbot county borough, Walesmarker falling within the community of Neathmarker.

Neath North includes some or all of the neighbourhoods of Llantwit and Neath town centre in the parliamentary constituency of Neath. It is bounded by the wards of Bryncoch Southmarker to the northwest; Cadoxtonmarker to the North; Tonnamarker to the northeast; Cimlamarker to the southeast; Neath Southmarker to the south; and Neath Eastmarker to the southwest.

In the 2008 local council elections, the electorate turnout was 43.9%. The results were:
