Niguel Hills Middle School is located in Laguna Niguel, California. It opened in 1975 and teaches grade levels 6 to 8 and is a blue ribbon school. The school belongs to the Capistrano Unified School District, and the mascot of the school is a Great White Shark. Its former mascot was the Seagulls, but it changed to Sharks during the 1998-99 school year due to the disturbing presence of seagulls leaving their droppings all over campus.
