Northampton North is a
borough constituency
represented in the House of Commons
of the Parliament of the United
Kingdom
. It elects one
Member of Parliament (MP) by the
first past the post system of
election.
It was created before the election of
February
1974 when the old constituency of
Northampton was split into Northampton North and Northampton South
.
Boundaries
Following
their review of parliamentary representation in Northamptonshire
, the Boundary Commission for
England has created a new seat for county which has meant
consequential changes to the existing seats.
The modified Northampton North is formed from the following
electoral wards:
- Abington, Boughton Green, Eastfield, Headlands, Kingsley,
Kingsthorpe, Lumbertubs, Parklands, St David and Thorplands
The other
seat in Northampton is Northampton South
.
