The family of Northwest Solomonic languages is a branch of the Oceanic languages. It covers most of the languages Santa Isabelmarker, New Georgiamarker, and Choiseul. The unity of the family and its three branches are fully supported by a 2008 analysis of the Austronesian Basic Vocabulary Database.

Components

The 2008 analysis gives a 90% probability that the Choiseul and New Georgia languages form a group on their own, with the Santa Isabel languages being the most divergent.
