
Nylands Nations House, Kaserngatan

Nylands nation is Finland's oldest student nation,
established in
1643 at
The Royal Academy of Turku. In
1828 the university moved to Helsinki and the student nations along
with it. Since 1904, the house of Nylands Nation has stood at
Kaserngatan 40, a building designed by Karl Hård af Segerstad in
the
national romantic
style.
