The Pays d'Ouche is a wooded plateau southwest of Évreuxmarker in the department of Euremarker, one of two departments in the Haute-Normandiemarker region, extending into the neighboring Ornemarker department in the Basse-Normandiemarker region. The Rislemarker River and other tributaries of the Seine flow through this area. Its chalky soil is not agriculturally productive. The principal towns of the area are l'Aiglemarker, population 8, 972 (INSEE, 1999), on the River Rislemarker and Conches-en-Ouchemarker, population 5,352 (INSEE, 1999), on the River Rouloir.
