Pennsylvania Route 472 is a north-south highway in Lancastermarker and Chestermarker counties. Its northern terminus is at Pennsylvania Route 372 in Quarryvillemarker, and its southern terminus is at Pennsylvania Route 841 in Lewisville north of the Marylandmarker border.

Route description

Chester County

From the intersection with PA 841 in Elk Townshipmarker, Pennsylvania Route 472 heads to the northwest on Lewisville Road. It then merges onto Hickory Hill Road and crosses into East Nottingham Townshipmarker before entering the borough of Oxfordmarker, where it becomes Market Street. In the center of Oxford, PA 472 turns north onto Third Street for a brief distance and it intersects the southern terminus of Pennsylvania Route 10 where it then heads northwest on Pine Street before heading west on Lancaster Avenue. It then interchanges with the U.S. 1 Kennett Oxford Bypass before leaving the borough of Oxford and entering Lower Oxford Townshipmarker, where the name changes to Lancaster Pike. The route heads to the northwest and crosses the Octoraro Creek into Lancaster County.

Lancaster County

Upon entering Colerain Townshipmarker in Lancaster County, the name of Pennsylvania Route 472 becomes Kirkwood Pike. It heads northwest through the township, passing through the village of Kirkwoodmarker. It then enters Eden Townshipmarker before entering the borough of Quarryvillemarker, where PA 472 becomes South Lime Street. It heads north to Pennsylvania Route 372 (East State Street), where PA 472 ends.
