Prince Eugen Napoleon Nicolaus of
Sweden and Norway, Duke of Närke

Oscar II of Sweden
and Norway
.
He was a famous
painter,
art collector and
patron
of
artists.
His residence, Waldemarsudde
, on Djurgården
in Stockholm
, is now an art museum. On 21 January 1904
Prince Eugen was appointed a
Knight of the Norwegian lion by
King Oscar II.
