The River Deel, is a river in County Limerickmarker, Irelandmarker

The River Deel rises near Dromina in North County Corkmarker and flows north into County Limerickmarker for about 60+ km to enter the Shannon Estuarymarker at Askeatonmarker.

After it rises it passes the flowing areas, first Milford, County Cork and down towards Belville bridge, the river then flows on to Castlemahonmarker (Mahoonaghmarker) and nearby Newcastle West flowing parallel to the main Limerickmarker-Killarneymarker Road, to reach Rathkealemarker.Having left Rathkealemarker, the River Deel now crosses the new Killarneymarker-Limerickmarker N21 road and heads for its confluence and Estuary at Askeatonmarker.

Fishing

The Deel was once a good salmon and grilse fishery but now is mainly fished for brown trout.
