Scott Swan (born January, 1970) is a screenwriter and filmmaker best known for his work with director John Carpenter on seasons one and two of Masters of Horror. Cigarette Burns and Pro-Life were both produced as part of the Masters series for Showtime.

Biography

Early life

Swan was born in Pittsburgh and raised in Washingtonmarker, Pennsylvaniamarker.

Writing and directing career

Swan has been writing with Drew McWeeny since the two met in high school. In 1994 their plays Sticks & Stones and Broken Bones were first produced in Los Angeles. They recently penned "Skin & Bones", an episode for the NBC horror/suspense anthology television series Fear Itself . In May 2008 "Bat Out of Hell" was announced, a major motion picture written by Swan and McWeeny, to be directed by Joe Dante.

In July 2009, he made his directorial debut in Pittsburgh with a horror movie titled MaskHead.

Personal

Swan lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and daughter.
