She's Out of My League is an American
romantic comedy film, directed

Jim Field Smith and written by
Sean Anders and John Morris.
The film stars Jay
Baruchel and Alice Eve, and was
produced by Jimmy Miller for DreamWorks
/Paramount
Pictures. Production on the film finished in 2008. A
wide theatrical release for the film is set for March 12,
2010.
Plot
The plot centers around an unlikely hero - an average joe named
Kirk, (
Jay Baruchel) who works at an
airport as a
Transportation Security
Administration officer and has very few goals in life, other
than trying to get back together with his evil ex-girlfriend
Marnie. Then he meets a smart, sexy, charming young woman called
Molly (
Alice Eve) - and, contrary to all
expectations, starts dating her. His initial excitement turns to
panic, as his own insecurities and the advice of family and friends
threaten to ruin the relationship.

Principal photography for the film
commenced on March 31, 2008 at the Mellon Arena
, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team.
Filming
continued in various locations around Pittsburgh
until the end of May 2008, including the Pittsburgh
International Airport
and The Andy Warhol Museum
. Mount Washington
, the downtown Alcoa Building,
Market Square, Century III
Mall
, and area sound stages
were also used as locations for the film. Pluma's Restaurant in
Irwin,
Pennsylvania
was used for bar scenes when shooting at Mellon
Arena became impossible due to the Penguins advancement to the
Stanley Cup finals. The film was
co-produced by Jimmy Miller of Mosaic Media Group, a native of
Castle Shannon,
Pennsylvania
and the brother of comedian Dennis Miller. According to
Variety, it is director
Jim
Field Smith's first feature film.
Reception
At a
preview in Sydney,
Australia
in September 2009, The Australian described clips from the
film as the "highlight" of Paramount
Pictures forthcoming releases, stating: "It had the audience in
stitches and possesses the kind of big comic scenes seen in
There's Something About Mary."
