Singen (Hohentwiel) is an industrial city in the very south of Baden-Württembergmarker in southern Germanymarker and just north of the German-Swiss border. It is also situated within close proximity of Lake Constancemarker and is the most important city in the Hegau area. The most famous landmark of Singen is Hohentwielmarker, a volcanic stub on which there are the ruins of a fortress destroyed by French troops during the Napoleonic Wars.

Further sights in Singen are the Geographic Museum and the local Saint Martin's Church with its Gothic tower (77 metres).
