S.K.I.N. was a supergroup consisting of several Japanesemarker famous rock musicians.

According to what Yoshiki said during his interview with Fool's Mate magazine,, the origin of the band dates back to around 2002, when Yoshiki and Gackt agreed to jointly produce some music. Around 2006, they became serious about the plan, and began to find band members. The plan was publicly announced in July 2006, when Otakon published an interview with Yoshiki in which he said he would start a band with Gackt. In December of the same year, it was reported that Sugizo was added to the line-up, and then at the first JRock Revolution Festival in May 25, 2007 S.K.I.N. was announced with Miyavi as their fourth member. Yoshiki confirmed that the group will release an album and that rough recordings of several songs were made in March 2007. The band gave its debut performance on June 29, 2007 at the Anime Expo in Long Beachmarker, Californiamarker, with Ju-ken, bassist of Gackt's support band GacktJob on bass and played four songs.

S.K.I.N. from the debut performance has been inactive, neither an album release date has been announced nor a full-time bass player, all activity was suddenly stopped without any information.

In a recent interview with JaME, Sugizo, guitarist of S.K.I.N. was asked about the band. He had said all members wish to continue with the project, but are all too busy to get together at the same time and place. The future of the band still remains unclear.
