St. Leonhard in Passeier (German); ) is a comune (municipality) in Bolzano-Bozen in the Italianmarker region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 80 km north of Trentomarker and about 35 km north of Bolzano marker.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,402 and an area of 88.4 km². According to the 2001 census, 98.30% of the population speak German, 1.61% Italian and 0.09% Ladin as first language.

The municipality contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Walten (Valtina) and Schweinsteg (Sant'Orsola).Its bordering municipalities are Moos in Passeiermarker (Moso in Passiria), Ratschingsmarker (Racines), Riffianmarker (Rifiano), St. Martin in Passeiermarker (San Martino in Passiria), Sarntalmarker (Sarentino), and Schennamarker (Scena).
