Steve Smith is a Britishmarker house musician most notable for being one of the members of the band Dirty Vegas.

Musical career

In 1992, Steve auditioned for a band called Higher Ground, and was taken on as a percussionist. Shortly after joining the bands lead singer left, and Steve stepped forward to take his spot.

After the split of Higher Ground, Steve moved from Londonmarker to Ibizamarker, where he wrote song called "Days Go By". Shortly after writing this song, he ran into an old friend and DJ, Paul Harris. Paul had been working with a friend named Ben Harris (no relation). The three of them got together and formed the band Dirty Vegas. The song "Days Go By" went on to win a Grammy Award.

After Dirty Vegas' break-up, Steve decided to continue his musical career. He released his first solo album, entitled "This Town" on February 18, 2008. The album was released on Steve's own music label, "G.A.S. Records".

Steve will be making an appearance on Portugal. the Man's upcoming release, "Satanic Satanists" as confirmed by a video update on their official site. In the video he is seen playing various different percussion instruments.
