Steve Walsh (born June 15, 1951 in St. Joseph, Missouri) is a singer and songwriter best known for his work as a member of the progressive rock band Kansas.


Steve Walsh was adopted by his parents and grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri. He now lives in Atlanta, Georgiamarker. He is married and he has a son who was born in 1980, a daughter who was born in 1999, and another son in 2006. He is a career musician and he makes his living performing with Kansas and releasing solo projects. He is known for his keyboard and vocal abilities, and is considered by some to be one of the greatest keyboard performers because of his athletic approach to keyboards (including hand-stands on his keyboards).
