Thomas King, CM (born 24 April 1943) is a noted novelist and broadcaster who most often writes about Canada's First Nations and is an outspoken advocate for First Nations causes. He is of Cherokee and Greekmarker descent.

Canadian Federal Election 2008

In 2008 Tom King was the NDP candidate for the city of Guelphmarker. His bid to become NDP came short when he came in fourth place making this the first time the NDP would finish outside of the top three places. Tom King along with Conservative candidate Gloria Kovach and Green Party candidate Mike Nagy have all stated they will not run in the 41st Canadian Federal Election.
