Tab Virgil, Jr., better known by his stage name Turk, is an American rapper from New Orleansmarker, Louisianamarker.. He is best known as 1/4 of the New Orleans hip hop group Hot Boys. His debut "Young & Thuggin'" album became a top ten hit on the Billboard 200 and pushed his album to gold-selling status in the U.S.

In 2003, Turk later signed with producer KENOEs' Laboratory Recordz, who released his last four albums. In 2006, Turk was convicted of attempted murder of a Tennesseemarker police officer that he shot in early 2004.

Turk, or Young Turk as he was christened, is ashamed of his fundamental youth behavior. His rapping career was short lived due to this obvious drawback. According to former label-mate and close friend Christopher "B.G." Dorsey,Turk is said to be "on his way to the half way house". Based on B.G.'s interviews, Turk's attempted murder charge was dropped due to evidence that the police shot one another, "friendly fire". Turk is said to be only facing the gun charge.
