Valeri Viktorovich Kamensky
( ) (born April 18, 1966 in Voskresensk
, Soviet
Union
, now Russia) is a retired Russian
hockey
player. Before the
NHL, he started his career with
Khimik Voskresensk in the
Russian Hockey Super
League (1982–85) and also played for
CSKA Moscow (1985–91).
In 1991 he moved to
the NHL, where he played for the Quebec
Nordiques (1991–95, spending the '94 lockout break in HC Ambri-Piotta, Switzerland
), Colorado
Avalanche (1995–99), New York Rangers (1999–2001), Dallas Stars (2001–02) and New Jersey Devils (2001–02). He won
a
Stanley Cup in 1996 with
Colorado.
