The Velikaya River, also known as Bolshaya and Onemen ( ), is a 556 km long river in Chukotka Autonomous Okrugmarker in Russiamarker. It flows northeastwards from the Koryak Rangemarker through the Anadyrskiy Liman (the Anadyr Rivermarker estuary) into the Bering Seamarker at the Gulf of Anadyrmarker. The area of its drainage basin is 31,000 km². Velikaya (Великая) translates to great in the Russian Language. Bolshaya (Большая) translates to big in Russian.

The Velikaya River and its tributaries belong to the Chukotka Autonomous Okrugmarker.

Latitude: 64° N, Longitude: 176° 15' E

There is a small populated place in the area close to its estuary also called Velikaya. Beluga whales are common in its estuarine waters.

One of the native names of this river is Echinku, so that in some documents referring to this river in Soviet times, it was referred to as Velikaya-Echinku.
