The event began in December 1999, and followed the Survivor Series
pay-per-view in November.

official Armageddon theme song is called "The End", which
originally appeared on WWE
Disc 3. The song was composed by the WWE's music
producer, Jim Johnston
End" has continuously been remade/remixed since the original
version (on Anthology) was used during the opening montage for the
2000 event, including an extended version reaching nearly seven
minutes in length that has been the mainstay theme for the past few
Armageddon PPVs. The extended version was made available for
purchase and download on WWE.com, then later available on the album
WWE The Music, Vol.
In 2009, it was announced that an event called TLC: Tables, Ladders &

Chairs will be an all new event and not a continuation of
Armageddon's lineage or legacy.
