Armageddon was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. The event began in December 1999, and followed the Survivor Series pay-per-view in November. The event was held in December every year, except for 2001, when it was replaced with Vengeance.

From 2004 to 2006 the event was exclusive to the SmackDown! brand, with the 2003 event being exclusive to the Raw brand. The official Armageddon theme song is called "The End", which originally appeared on WWE Anthology Disc 3. The song was composed by the WWE's music producer, Jim Johnston. "The End" has continuously been remade/remixed since the original version (on Anthology) was used during the opening montage for the 2000 event, including an extended version reaching nearly seven minutes in length that has been the mainstay theme for the past few Armageddon PPVs. The extended version was made available for purchase and download on WWE.com, then later available on the album WWE The Music, Vol. 7.

In 2009, it was announced that an event called TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs will replace Armageddon. TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs will be an all new event and not a continuation of Armageddon's lineage or legacy.

Armageddon (1999) took place on December 12, 1999 at the National Car Rental Center in the Fort Lauderdale suburb of Sunrise, Florida.

• The Acolytes (Bradshaw and Faarooq) won a tag team battle royal (10:54)
  • Also in the match were: The Godfather and Mark Henry, The Headbangers (Mosh and Thrasher), Edge and Christian, The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff), The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von), The Mean Street Posse (Pete Gas and Rodney), and Too Cool (Grand Master Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty).
  • Faarooq last eliminated Jeff Hardy to win a shot at the WWF Tag Team Championship at the 2000 Royal Rumble.
• Kurt Angle defeated Steve Blackman (6:56)
  • Angle pinned Blackman after a Bridging Belly to Back Suplex.
• Miss Kitty defeated Ivory, Jacqueline, and B.B. (with The Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young as special guest referees) in a Four Corners Evening Gown Pool match to win the WWF Women's Championship (2:45)
  • After the match Miss Kitty took off her dress and flashed the crowd in celebration.
• The Holly Cousins (Hardcore and Crash) defeated Rikishi and Viscera (4:23)
  • Hardcore pinned Rikishi after Viscera accidentally hit him.
• Val Venis defeated The British Bulldog (c) and D'Lo Brown in a Triple Threat match to win the WWF European Championship (8:20)
  • Venis pinned Bulldog after breaking up a pin attempt with the Money Shot.
• Kane defeated X-Pac in a Steel cage match (8:12)
  • Kane pinned X-Pac after a Tombstone Piledriver.
  • Kane could only win this match by pinfall or submission. X-Pac could win by pinfall, submission, or escaping the cage with both feet hitting the floor.
• Chris Jericho defeated Chyna (with Miss Kitty) to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship (10:17)
  • Jericho forced Chyna to submit with the Walls of Jericho.
• The Rock 'n' Sock Connection (The Rock and Mankind) defeated WWF Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws (Mr. Ass and Road Dogg) by disqualification (16:28)
  • NAO were disqualified after Al Snow interfered, so the NAO retained the titles.
• The Big Show defeated The Big Boss Man to retain the WWF Championship (3:11)
  • Big Show pinned Boss Man after a Chokeslam.
• Triple H defeated Vince McMahon in a No Holds Barred match (29:45)
  • Triple H pinned Vince after hitting him with a sledgehammer.
