William Lounsbery (December 25, 1831 - November 8, 1905) was a U.S. Representative from New Yorkmarker.

Born at Stone Ridge, New Yorkmarker, Lounsbery was graduated from Rutgers College, New Brunswick, New Jerseymarker, in 1851.He attended the law department of the New York Universitymarker in Albany, New Yorkmarker.He was admitted to the bar in 1853 and engaged in practice.During the Civil War was commissary of the Twentieth Regiment, New York Militia, with the rank of first lieutenant, during its three months' service.He served as member of the State assembly in 1868.He served as mayor of Kingston, New Yorkmarker 1878-1880.

Lounsbery was elected as a Democrat to the Forty-sixth Congress (March 4, 1879-March 3, 1881).He died in Kingston, New Yorkmarker, November 8, 1905.He was interred in the Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery.
