William Williams (September 6, 1815September 10, 1876) was a U.S. Representative from New Yorkmarker.

Born in Bolton, Connecticutmarker, Williams received a common-school education. He served as clerk in a bank in Windham, Connecticutmarker. He moved to Sandusky, Ohiomarker, in 1838, and to Buffalo, New Yorkmarker, in 1839, where he engaged in banking. He also served as a railroad manager and president.He served as member of the State assembly in 1866 and 1867.

Williams was elected as a Democrat to the Forty-second Congress (March 4, 1871March 3, 1873).He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1872 to the Forty-third Congress. He withdrew from public life and active business pursuits, and lived in retirement until his death in Buffalo, New Yorkmarker. He was interred in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
